Learning Objectives

By the end of the module, you will be able to:

  • Apply previous knowledge of stakeholders, program logic and evaluation questions to the design of a comprehensive evaluation plan.
  • Assess advantages and limitations of evaluation designs, including randomized, quasi-experimental, pre-post, qualitative, and mixed methods designs.
  • Appraise and compare options for data collection methods, indicators, measures and sampling strategies.
  • Identify and address threats to validity.
  • Identify strategies for addressing budget, time, data and political constraints in evaluation practice.
